Good evening Auction Submitters and everyone else.

Due to what took place yesterday, where we had sold an item on the auction which would normally go on vendor, but did not because it identified the item as a dupe, we are putting a failsafe in place.

We are confident that this was a mistake of the submitter in question, did not know he/she was in possession of an item that was identified as a dupe, or the check produced what is known as a "false positive", meaning it was identified as a dupe without being it (known issue with transferring items)

Thus from the 40th auction and in future: You, the submitter are responsible for only submitting and handing over vendorable items.

Should one slip by and reach our box anyways (wherever that was on accident or purpose), we are going to deduct 10% of the amount the item(s) sold for, and put it in our guildbox to fund future events.

UPDATE: As a buyer protection, people are not required to buy items they have bid on, in faith it is vendorable (and it turns out not being so) if they desire not to, they can then void their bid and it would go to the second highest bid, and so on, until a buyer is found that willing to purchase it for their stated bid (if any), however if the item drops far to low despite the fact it is not vendorable, we may repeat the auction for that item from scratch.

Hope you all understand our reasons for this.

Submitting auctions will continue to be free, and the amount they sell for will continue to be paid out in full otherwise.
